Hello,

Have you been given a blood test and allergy test for asthma. Some people who do have Bronchitis do have the asthma (seasonal). I have my asthma well controlled but when the stressors are right and a virus comes around, I do get Bronchitis for weeks. I have had Bronchitis so bad that I was in bed for a month. Wheezing and fever was not nice. A round of steroids, antibotics plus, advair is the treatment. Over the countner Mucus Relief DM(Guaifensin 400mg, Dextromethorphan HBr 20mg) is a safe way to get rid of the nasty stuff. My asthma specialist says honey and tea is the best. I agree. I have lived with asthma/ bronchitis since the age of 2. It is a lifestyle change to bring all symtoms under control. Good luck,

I have been diagnosed with bronchitis, which started within the last two years. Never had it before I started working at this clinic. The air vents at my job site are thick with dust and there is something black (mold?) on the ceilings around the air vents. Could this have something to do with why I have bronchitis now?

I currrently have bronchitis now and went to the doctor because I wanted to make sure that I did not have pneumonia. He did not do a chest x-ray, he just gave me some antibiotics, which is not working as far as I can see. I have been out of work for 4 days now. I have been coughing up phlegm for over a month, with burning chest and throat pain, along with flank pain on both sides.
I would just like some answers, my doctor does not seem to be very helpful.
