Ask to be tested for pertussis (whooping cough). I went around for weeks with the same symptoms you are describing and it went uindiagnosed until they did a blood test 8 weeks later because the symptoms were still hanging on. Pertussis can be easily misdiagnosed, espoecially in adults, and the vaccine is not foolprrof, even in children.

I had bronchitis back in November very badly and painfully and then it just went away within the month. It came back in December just like it was before, and it comes and goes on and off almost every other day. Sometimes out of nowhere I’ll have these horrible coughing fits and I can’t breath and need to go outside, and I start gagging and almost vomiting because of how hard I’m coughing. Please help!!
I’m trying to get to sleep right now but I can’t, my chest hurts and is very irritated. What can I do??
I’ve been on the z-pack and a temporary albuterol sulfate inhaler but those haven’t done much. I’m going back to the doctor’s tomorrow, but honestly, they don’t seem to care or pay close attention to me and my mom thinks it’s not as bad as I’m making it.
